Version 2.6.6 Build 2253 (12/12/2024)

Revision 2253

  • Fixed a bug introduced in Revision 2178 that caused 3DM CalibCam to fail to detect a 3DM Analyst licence if it was on a different dongle.

  • Updated software release to include the latest Sentinel dongle driver.

Revision 2252

  • Updated HASP libraries to the latest version (10.12). NOTE: The latest dongle driver (included with the software) must also be installed at the same time otherwise the software will give an error message about the Sentinel LDK License Manager version being too old.

Revision 2250

  • Fixed an issue of small gaps appearing in the DTM triangular mesh when splitting a DTM with a plane feature. Fixes #998.

  • Splitting a DTM will now save the resultant DTMs and their associated textures. Fixes #999.

Revision 2249

  • Added support for adjusting the rotation centre when rotating about the Z axis. Now it will orbit about the same location as normal rotations, whether that location is adjusted by dragging (right mouse button) or by centring on the 3D cursor.

  • Enabled translation when in rotation about the Z axis mode. Note that translation up and down on the screen is still translation up and down in the plane parallel to the screen passing through the current rotation centre and not in the horizontal direction fore and aft.

Revision 2248

  • Added support for rotating about the world Z axis, both using the mouse (which constrains view changes to orbits at a fixed “height” about the point of rotation) and the “Spin Around Centre of Screen/World Z Axis” button in the toolbar (which rotates the scene about the world Z axis until stopped). To activate, click on the “Only Allow Rotation Around World Z Axis” button in the toolbar before rotating the view or clicking the relevant “Spin” button. Click again to allow free manipulation of the view and rotation about the various screen axes. Implements #987.

  • “Generate DTM from Strips” in 3DM CalibCam now works even without a 3DM Analyst dongle available — it will pop up a dialog for the user giving the location of the .genx file it is about to create so that the user can simply double-click on it later when the licence becomes available. Implements #995.

Revision 2247

  • Added support to save as .dtmx format in the menu option Digitising Tools | Generate DTM from Image Pairs. Implements #988.

Revision 2246

  • Added an optional compass to the lower-right of the 3D View in 3DM Analyst and 3DM CalibCam. It is not a bad idea to leave the compass activated even when it doesn’t make sense (e.g. after relative orientations in 3DM CalibCam, prior to incorporating control points) because it serves as a visual reminder that the orientation is arbitrary. The main body of the compass renders in black if the 3D View’s background is a light colour, and white if it’s a black colour; other components are coloured in the same colour as the relevant axis (with the compass being blue from below, like the Z axis, to make it obvious when it is upside-down).

  • Changed the behaviour of the “Show XYZ Axes” button in the 3D View toolbar to cycle through various display options in order: No decorations; Axes only; Scale only; Axes and Scale; Scale and Compass; Axes, Scale, and Compass. The setting is persistent and defaults to Scale and Compass.

  • Improved the performance of gamma correction.

  • Massively improved the performance of rendering large numbers of relative-only points in the 3D View of 3DM CalibCam. It should now be able to maintain 60 fps for any conceivable project size.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause 3DM Analyst to hang if a project was loaded while the 3D View was active. Fixes #994.
